Does Circular Ring 2 Measure Blood Glucose?
Yes — coming soon!
The Circular Ring 2 will support non-invasive blood glucose trend estimation, using advanced PPG waveform analysis and machine learning to offer wellness insights on your glucose levels.
⚠️ Note: This is a wellness tool only. It is not a diagnostic feature and does not replace clinical glucose monitoring or medical advice.
🧠 How It Works
Scientific research has shown that certain patterns in PPG signals — such as pulse amplitude and waveform shape — can correlate with relative changes in blood glucose levels.
Leveraging this, Circular will allow users to perform a 2-minute spot test each morning (preferably before eating). This will generate a glucose trend indicator such as:
- Stable
- Rising
- Elevated
💡 This helps you get a sense of how your body is trending metabolically — supporting more informed lifestyle and wellness choices.
🕒 Not for Continuous Monitoring
The glucose feature is not designed for intra-day tracking or real-time blood sugar alerts. It provides daily trend insights, which are perfect for general wellness tracking, but not suitable for managing medical conditions like diabetes.
🌍 Global Research Efforts
We are currently conducting a clinical study in underdeveloped countries, where blood glucose issues are widespread. This research aims to validate the performance of our system and bring valuable tools to regions with limited access to traditional monitoring.
🚫 Not a Medical Device
This feature is not medically certified and should not be used for diagnosis or treatment. Always rely on certified glucose monitors for clinical needs and follow professional medical advice.
